From parent qualifications to teaching styles to adding variety to your home education, this session addresses discouragement head on with practical suggestions for moving forward to success in your homeschooling.

Patty and her husband home educated their four children from kindergarten- to high school completion. Having spoken with thousands of home educators over the years in her roles working alongside HSLDA, as a support group leader and as a leader in her provincial homeschooling organization, Patty has supported many in their home educating journey. Patty has become adept at identifying ‘seasons’ of lull and discouragement and developing useful techniques to rejuvenate homeschooling. Patty is an advocate for home educators with the government and promotes home education with the public for HSLDA.
