Christopher Reiley, OCT: I been in education for 12 years, and have had the privilege of teaching in South Korea, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, USA and Canada. My passions are in science fiction and theatre and my favourite thing about teaching is helping students find their own favourite genres and writers.
Cassandra Straus, OCT: I have a strong passion for mathematics and have been teaching the subject for over 10 years. For the past 5 years, I have been teaching and designing mathematics programs in an e-Learning environment. I am also a homeschooling mom.
Brooke McBride-Geen, OCT: I have been teaching for over 15 years and I have a strong passion for mathematics. I have taught in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. I spent many years teaching in traditional bricks-and-mortar school but spent the last 5 years teaching in online environment. I have experience homeschooling my son during his Grade 1 year.

SESSION: Benefits and Tips for Online Learning

In this 20-minute video, our Blyth Academy Online teachers will share their experiences and perspectives for the benefits of online learning. We will go over the differences between asynchronous and synchronous learning, benefits of taking online asynchronous courses, and provide tips for being successful in an e-learning environment. Our teachers share tips for parents to support their homeschool student, as well as provide insights for those families trying to decide which method will work best for their children.
