Storyteller/Comedian Carlyn Rhamey shares the trials and triumphs of growing up with ADHD and learning to embrace what makes us different. From her diagnosis and placement in a segregated classroom to navigating her “superpower” now as an adult, this is an intimate and honest journey exploring ADHD and celebrating neurodiversity. Carlyn Rhamey (She/They) is a multidisciplinary artist and producer based in Hamilton, ON. Her solo shows have earned critical acclaim across the North American Fringe Festival circuit. In 2019 The ADHD Project had a sold out run in the Toronto Fringe Festival and earned the David Seguin Memorial Award for Accessibility in the Arts. As both a storyteller and disability advocate, Carlyn has performed in conferences across the country including The National AccessAbility Week, CADDAC ADHD Conference and the Innovations in Practice: Western Canadian Conference on Disabilities and Mental Health. In 2020 Carlyn was presented with the Emerging Artist Hamilton Arts Award. Carlyn also works as a support worker with some awesome people in the disability community. Her dream is to one day become a therapeutic clown!
