Jacki has been involved in home education since 1988 and educated her three children through High School. She continually loves those teachable moments as her grandchildren have begun their home education journey. Passionate to see generations equipped she continues her involvement as a conference speaker, home education consultant and curriculum sales distributor. Jacki shares candidly from her mother’s heart their experiences, both the good and bad. She exhorts and encourages families, in that most honorable responsibility, training, exhorting, and encouraging their children to fulfill their destiny.

SESSION: Hands-On Learning

As we educate it is important to give our children opportunities where they engage in direct experience and focused reflection to enhance their knowledge, skillset and values. In this workshop Jacki will share ideas that will help you to add in activities so your children can have an enhanced learning experience which will give them the opportunity to immerse themselves in a learning environment, while putting their acquired skills to use, developing problem solving skills and increase retention of the material.

Jacki Knight will challenge and help you make a strategy for your child’s future. She will explore and share the importance of understanding your philosophy of education and how it will impact your education plan. She will help you understand the impact that learning styles, setting goals and curriculum choices have and how it all works together to give your child tools to succeed and set them up for success.

SESSION: CATCH THE FUTURE *YOUTH*

Jacki Knight looks forward to challenging students to begin to think what career they would like to pursue in the future. She will help them explore their options and teach them how to research opportunities. During this process they will learn how they can design their course of studies moving into high school so that their course plan prepares them for the options that match their aptitudes and passions.
