SESSION: THE MYTH OF BALANCE

There is this popular belief that, if you do things properly, it is possible to find a way to balance all the sections and responsibilities in our lives so they each get the time they need and we find success/peace/happiness. We are expected to be able do everything to the fullest. But the truth is, balance is a myth. Life is more about priorities, flexibility, and simplification than balance.  Let's simplify together.

SESSION: HOMESCHOOLING IN THE EARLY YEARS

When their children turn 3 or 4 years old, parents start to panic about academics. SESSION: THE DARK SIDE: REALITY CHECK

There are a lot of things we don’t talk about enough in the homeschooling community. In the online world, this life is often presented with a rosy glow: families snuggled on couches reading together and working on beautiful worksheets with smiles and laughter. But is it like that for real? Maybe for some families, but not all of us. Homeschooling is hard and encompasses so much of our family life that there are bound to be struggles we face. Come with me into the “dark side” - the areas that are hard, messy, and rarely shared. Let’s talk about them together.

SESSION: GETTING ORGANIZED

Pencils and Scissors and Glue - oh my! It's wild how many things we accumulate when we homeschool. Papers, books, manipulatives.... it all adds up and can easily get out of control. We need to tame it once in a while, so in this session, we are going to get all the *things* organized. Prepare to see what chaos my homeschool storage spaces are, and to pause this video repeatedly as you go complete the tasks to get your homeschool stuff organized too. Get ready to work!
